Liner panels are fabricated into large sheets to minimize field seaming. These large panels are first accordian folded, then rolled up on a core and can be unloaded and transported by field fork equipment of sufficient capacity.

Using a lift system that suspends a roll off the ground, the roll is raised by a loader, forklift, crane or other lifting equipment and then spooled off and deployed. (An unwind stand could also be used from a modified flatbed trailer.)

The rolls were placed near where they would be deployed according to the directions shipped with the geomembrane.

Geomembranes considerations
This project utilizes a 36mil Reinforced Polypropylene geomembrane. RPP requires no cover soils, is very flexible, has excellent weatherability and resistance to sunlight and ozone, making it a good choice for this exposed application.

It was pre-fabricated at our Colorado facility and required very few field seams for a timely, cost-effective installation.
