Description
EPDM is a durable geomembrane with a 20-year proven performance
history in exposed applications, such as ponds and lakes, canals,
fish stock ponds. It can be self-installed in residential water
features.
EPDM
exhibits high tensile strenth and excellent resistance to punctures,
UV radiation, weathering and microbial attack. It is also highly
flexible material with a low co-efficient of thermal expansion and
contraction, enabling it to lay flat in a wide range of temperatures
and terrains thereby conforming well to irregularities in the subgrade.
EPDM is manufactured and installed
as liners, caps and covers in environmental containment applications
worldwide.
EPDM exhibits excellent
elongation characteristics and does not require a soil cover. EPDM
is delivered to the project in panels that are up to 50' x 200'
(10,000 sq.ft.) This product is available in custom sizes as well.

EPDM are the most popular materials
in the custom waterfall and decorative pond market due to its high
degree of flexibility. Its resistance to weathering and UV exposure
comes into play around the waterline where the membrane can be exposed
with rising and falling water levels. Its ability to expand and
contract, while maintaining its integrity as water levels and temperatures
change is another design asset.
Reinforced EPDM is also available via special order.
Field
seams: This product is seamed in the field using primer and 6" seam tape. It can be fabricated on a limited basis. Please contact CLI for more details.
(This
process is very similar to patching an automotive inner tube. First,
an abrasive pad roughens up the material to provide a better gluing
surface. Next, a seam-priming adhesive is applied followed by a 6"-wide
adhesive-back tape over the field weld. The seams are consistent and
permanent.)Contact

Design
Notes:
As with any exposed membrane, a safety bench and edge treatement
are recommended. EPDM
may be adhered to concrete. |
