| Preparation
for Shipment: |
|
Factory
fabricated geomembrane panels are normally packaged accordion-folded
and rolled onto a a cardboard core and attached to a wooden
pallet with metal banding or strapping.
Each
panel is prominantly and indelibly marked with the panel size
and panel number for proper deployment location.

| Transportation
to the Project site: |
|
Geomembranes
panels and any corollary material are packaged and shipped
by appropriate means so that no damage is caused.
Materials
are shipped in either a closed trailer or on a flatbed with
adequate tarps and delivered directly to an accessible site.

| Unloading: |
|
Prior
to unloading, any obvious damage to the material must be documented
on the freight bill.
If
a forklift is not available to off-laod the pallets, slings
should be used to lift the pallets off the trailor using a
cradle-style lift, in a way that will not damage the geomembrane/geosynthetic
materials.

| Storage:
|
|
CLI
will need to be allocated sufficient space to store the geomembrane
upon its arrival.
Note:
Proper on-site security is the responsibility of the project
owner.
|
|
|
|
|
|
The
panels need to remain stored in their original pallets in
a dry area protected from damage, as close to the work area
as possible. Pallets should not be stacked.
